This website and its accompanying book, The Big Bang to Now: A Time Line, is the scaffolding of an ever-unfolding story.  Scientists and non-scientists are constantly making new discoveries, developing new theories, arguing about what we really know and where we are going.  If you would like to learn more about any particular event described here, there are markers on every page indicating where you can find out more.
