Based on The Big Bang To Now: A Time Line by Dr. T. Herman Sissons this is the story of how you and I got here. 

It starts from the beginning of time and keeps going until it reaches now.  Astonishing as it is, it's not a fairy tale. 

But parts of it aren't true!  The events described here are scientists' best guesses of what happened and when.  Our understanding of many of them will change as our theories and mechanisms for peering beyond the present get better.
